    Choosing the right kind of app

    Most merchant-specific work belongs in a custom app installed on a single store. It needs no App Store review, can use the exact scopes it requires, and can be deployed on your schedule. We build against the Admin and Storefront GraphQL APIs, use app extensions so functionality appears natively in the admin and checkout rather than in a disconnected external dashboard, and subscribe to webhooks so data stays in step without polling.
