About The Client

The client is a French family business with a long history in the creation of stylish wooden furniture. Their designs showcase years of experience and expertise in the field, and customers can conveniently order their products online as well as from their physical store.


When the client turned to Magedia, their online store was operating on an 1.6 version of Prestashop, which led to poor performance and a bad user experience. The client wanted to update their website to the latest version of Prestashop, refresh the outdated design, and implement custom features.



To achieve these goals, we followed Agile methodology. This approach allowed us to work closely with the client, prioritize tasks, and deliver results flexibly and efficiently. With regular communication and feedback, we ensured that the project stayed on track and met the client’s expectations.

Update to 8.1.5

We updated the customer’s Prestashop online store to the latest version and successfully transferred all their data. First, we migrated everything to the 1.7 version and only after that we started migrating to the 8 version  This ensured that their store was running on the most recent and secure platform, providing their customers with a smooth and safe shopping experience. The update also included new features and improvements to enhance the store’s functionality and performance. Our team carefully tested and verified all aspects of the store to ensure a seamless transition without any data loss or downtime.

Custom development

We developed a solution that enables customers to view products with a 360-degree view. This feature provides customers with a more comprehensive and interactive view of the products, allowing them to see the product from all angles and better understand its features and details.

We added a feature that allows the client to add custom product attributes beyond the default text and file fields. This includes various field types like dropdown menus, radio buttons, and checkboxes.his enables the client to offer upsell and cross-sell options, increasing conversions, and average order value. Additionally, it lets customers customize products by choosing additional options.


We teamed up with the customer’s design team to create a fresh and modern look for their online store that matched their physical store as closely as possible. Our goal was to provide a seamless shopping experience for customers, whether they were shopping online or in person. To achieve this, we developed a unique custom theme that fully matches the customer’s expectations.


The update and new features have improved the customer’s online store, providing a better shopping experience for their customers while also increasing sales and promoting their brand. Overall, we are proud to have delivered a high-quality and efficient solution that meets the customer’s needs and exceeds their expectations.
